Hello! Wanted to follow up with some thoughts after receiving the product.
The Amazon process was great, got one day delivery which is also great. I thought the layout and branding of the store (and website and Instagram) was awesome.
I really love the packaging, the cylinder case makes a great first impression.
Unfortunately, the product I recieved had a manufacturing defect - the lid/cup has split at the seam, where I'm guessing it was folded to create the cup. It's a very sharp edge and its dangerously placed for screwing back on or drinking, I worry you might have some issues with people cutting themselves. See photos.
I also note that the website and marketing says genuine leather but where the logo is looks like it's PU based on the symmetrical pattern. See photo.
I also recieved a product with a dent in the bottom and quite a few permanent marks on the leather which are not natural marks. See photos.
The product works great as a beverage container, both hot and cold. It also looks really great in photos and I got a lot of comments/questions when I had it at work.
Overall, if I paid close to $50 for it, I'd be a little disappointed as I don't think the manufacturing quality is as good as other similar products priced at the same price point, which in my opinion is priced at (or close to) premium.
I know that sourcing in China is often a move that makes sense both financially and logistically, I have gone through that process myself, but in the end I feel that your factory/manufacturing let you down a little as this is a really neat idea and a unique product that just seems to have missed the mark a little on the quality for price.
Based on the eye catching aesthetics, unique appearance and design, and the fact that the product does work as a beverage container, I'd enthusiastically recommend it to someone who is going to be photographed with it a lot, who wants something unique to hold at meetings or at work, however, I could not recommend the product I received as a premium gift and based solely on what I think are manufacturing issues, I would not purchase this as a gift at this price point.
Ultimately, it feels like a promotional product and my guess is it was manufactured by a factory that does a lot of that sort of thing. I truly think it is worth looking into the issue on the lid where the seam is folded as I think that is an issue waiting to happen when someone cuts themselves.
As mentioned in our initial conversations, I'm happy to post photos with it in there and tag you, I can also create a few pieces of content for you to use if you like, but if I were to post a review it would read as above and I didn't want to do that as I think you could fix some of the issues for other people in the future.
Open to your thoughts and if you prefer me to return the product that is fine too.
